The Animal World

An Encyclopaedia from Olden Times

The Museum's natural history unit is divided into insect cabinet and a zoological exhibition. The overwhelming collection of animals comprises 1500 stuffed mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians and fish. An open group of animals in the middle of the museum is dominated by giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, lions and zebras.

Originally collected for research and educational purposes, the insect cases exhibit hundreds of tropical butterflies and beetles, scorpions, spiders and other insects.
